SPECIES ASSESSMENT FOR DWARF SHREW
As discussed below, Hoffman and Owen (1980) considered S. nanus to be the Rocky Mountain dwarf shrew and S. tenellus to be an allospecies, the Great Basin-centered Inyo shrew.
